A documentary about life in the small village of Mölbis, just south of Leipzig, during the year of German reunification. The film portrays this momentous change in German history from the perspective of those who lived on the periphery – forgotten villagers and their lives in the shadow of the poisonous chimneys of the Espenhain plant.
